4-barrel Carb Conversion, 6-port 13B NA

I\'m going to be converting my 1988 RX7 SE to carburetor.

What carb should I go with?

It\'s a 13B 6-port, will be receiving a streetport.

Should I buy one with mechanical or vacuum secondaries? Also, electric choke or manual choke?

Aiming for 200 - 250 hp.

Thanks,
---richard

edelbrock 500-cfm, the one that weber made for them. A few first gen guys run them with really good results. Just use a holley manifold with an adapter. You should buy one with mechanical secondaries. Light, manual transmission cars dont work well with vacuum secondaries, the engine doesn't load enough to open them sometimes

much more guys run holleys, but if you dont get one from like racing beat that are setup for rotaries your life will suck while trying to tune it. The edelbrock just seems to work out of the box....

I am going the other way getting ready to convert my 6 port 13b rotary bugeye to injection. It currently has a RB holley 600cfm on their intake. It is tuned for a rotary and runs great. Also has a manual choke and mechanical secondaries. I addition they set up the rear fuel bowl to accept the two OMP lines that you will lose if you eliminate the LIM.

I will sell you my whole setup with a mechanical fuel pump (you'll need a low pressure pump to run any carb) with an air cleaner for $650. Let me know if you are interested. See my earlier post or PM me for pictures.

Again, that is an intake, carb, filter assembly, choke bracket and cable, and fuel pump for $650. If you check it out you'll see that that is cheap! BTW it is like new and includes the RB installation guide and documentation.
