I know this has been talked about before but I can’t seem to find anything using the search. Anyway I know this has been done but how hard is it, and do i also use a 3rd gen throttle body or can i use mine of my s4 one. Any info would be nice.

- FD UIM to S4 LIM much harder to retrofit (bigger difference in offsets of bolts and ports)

if any reason to upgrade to FD UIM is use FD TB as well (slightly bigger), no point of going thru hassle using FD UIM and then downgrade to smaller TB which does not fit and will require again lot of machining...

 

what about 3rd gen UIM to s5 LIM

 

much easier, been covered, use search

i have it to S5 LIM, but i still use spacer to make transition as smooth as possible

How well does the s5 LIM bolt up to the s4 block, and s5 LIM to 3rd gen UIM. did you also put a spacer from the LIM to the block?
