3rd gen rims and tires on a 2nd gen

how well do they match up on a 2nd gen, id like to get a pair of them for beating on untill i can rais enough money to buy a real nice set, im not ganna pe payin' over 250 for tires and rims....get back to me with what you think

They are 16x8, as opposed to 6-6.5" wide compared to FC rims. Also FD offset is +50mm, +40 for the FC. What does this mean? They will require spacers. 25mm, I believe. They will actually fit in the back, but it'd look weird having spacers up front only, so make sure you get 4 spacers if you do this. Also realize that you are probably going to need to longer stud's if you get spacers. A lot of people here recommend H&R hubcentric spacers.
