will an intake from a 3rd gen fit on a 2nd gen?

 

Probably not.

 

They (FEED) make an adapter plate to fit the third Gen UIM to the S5 LIM.... if you have an s4 (86-88) your SOL because the runners are WAY different sized and it would just screw stuff up even if you did make an adapter.

Plus... There are a lof of other modifications that must be done in order you use an FD manifold on an S5 LIM in a second gen...

I had one ready to go with my haltech swap and ditched the idea because, even though i was running the haltech, the difference in the runners would have made for some weid airflow patterns, and possivly a venturi effect at the adapter..

 

oh intake manifolds...I am pretty sure YOD covered it. I thought you meant filter setups. IIRC the FD has dual intakes so you'd have an extra filter.

 

Go to TeamFC3s, under the turbo section, there is a sticky covering the swap.
