3rd gen brakes on a 2nd gen?

What would this swap entail? Would there be any benefit to doing this at all? If I missed the answer in the search, feel free to yell at me.

i may be off but i think there is little difference (slightly larger rotors, baisicaly the same calipers) between the 5 lug/4 piston calipers on the s5 models and the third gen brakes. if you have an s4 or a base s5 it'd probobly be better to upgrade to the 4piston brakes off the turbo/gxl than figuring out how to do a 3rd gen swap.

Yeah, the FD brakes are pretty much the same as the FC 5-lug/4 piston brakes.

[off topic] Andrew, you're in Titusville? I have relitives in Titusville, I bought my most recent FC from my uncle down there.[/offtopic]

ive pretty sure its a bolt on thing, im pretty sure it dosnt make a difference in the brakeing from what i remeber you only swap the calipters, the 3rd gen calipters just look smoother.

the calipers fit right on the 4-piston stock FC rotors. The FD rotors will NOT fit on the FC hubs. The FD calipers arent an upgrade however.
