tires may be a little too tall, but the wheels should fit well.
to check and see if the tires are going to work go to www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

plug your stock tire size, then the tire size on the 350z wheels and it will tell you how off the overall diameter is. keep it under 10%-15% and you should be fine. just remember that the higher % that the overall diameter differs is how 'off' your speedometer will be.

The proper size would be 225/40/18. One thing to check is the hub bore, but the FC has a pretty small one, so you're most likely ok, but make sure it's more than 56.9mm (IIRC, check to be sure).

Is it's 56.9 or 59.6?

That's the minimum size that the hole in the center of the wheels needs to be, there's a lip on the hubs and if the center bore on the Nissan wheels is smaller than that then the wheels won't seat onto the hubs and you won't be able to use them without having the wheels machined.
