350 swap question from a friend..no flames

Question 350 swap question from a friend..no flames

how much dos it cost to do a typical 350 conversion not including the price of the engine and tranny, besides the motor and transmission mounts needed what else is needed.......i am asking for a friend so please no flames......his 7 weighs 1900 lbs with no motor and tranny and at most when done will only weight 2600 or so, it will be a beast with the rebuilt 350 with 325 hp he has.....

how muchfro the swap i already ahve thatlink i just need answerss from someone who has done it so he can get an estimate, he wnated to spend 500 for eveythign he needs, except motor and tranny, also he want the lt1 found in a 1993-1997 camaro

You cant do it for $500. You need to plan on $1500 or so just for the swap, not including the engine/tranny. All of the little things add up, like new water pump, custom driveshaft, motor mounts, etc.

yea, that ***** expensive, just tell him to get a j-spec engine. you dont have to custom make **** or buy the **** for hella expensive
