I may go with 4 round headlights some day, but pop-ups are just one more thing that sets our cars apart.

holy cow! I actually thought of this today and was going to ask if anyone had ever done it or if someone could photoshop it. I think it looks great!, much better than an aftermarket kit.

Well as someone who love to make their own stuff, and i hope to do a sl;eek headlight kit in the future, the parts just cost soooo much less than a kit it's rediculus. I mean 1000 bucks for headlights is crazy i think 300 is reasonable considering that the parts would probably only cost a 3rd of that and that the R&D only has to be done once after the first set it's just duplication. I appreciate the quality and talent need to make many aftermarket parts but prices are rediculus anymore half the parts for our cars cost more than the car.

On another note i like the popups but have been wanting to make a dual round light pop up kit for my car for a while maybe even with angle eyes. and make the pop ups pop up about 3/5ths the height they do now

myself and many friends are into the sleepy look cause all you have to do is unplug the motors and twis the motor by hand till how low you want the light to sit and if you cant see with them then plug the motors back in

it looks like he had to cut the bumper right down to the ftps to fit the lights in there. i dont think it would look good with the ftps, they would be too close to the headlights.

That is the best looking flush install I have ever seen on a 7. Any kit I have seen just looks rediculous. That is just so clean.

I love my pop ups. I wouldn't install a flush kit if someone gave it to me.

Has anyone ever thought of doing the flip up headlights with Acrua Integra (snake eyes) headlights in there? That's my plan, i have already started. I will use the headlights from the Teg and eventually get a HID kit for it...

ditto, I enjoy my pop-up headlights and wouldn't trade them for anything unless it's for another set of pop-ups!

I did some measuring on the 300zx lights vs. the FC lights.

The FC lights: appr. 10.5"across x 11" length/North-South

The 300 lights appr: 14" across x 9" Length/N-S

For starters on that black car, that bumper had no FTP lenses to start with (maybe I'm wrong).

If the 300zx lights are shorter ..9" (north-South, then this person had to have fab'd in metal/something to fill in the 11" measurement on the FC light. follow? the 300 lights are about 2" shorter from the North to south measurement.

Then the length: the fc is 10.5" across or ( east-west) and you would have to cut into the hood.. which is not big deal really, just remember when its cut, theres no turning back.

Getting back to this black bumper, that facia appears to have not had FTP lenses. If you look the bottom of the lights, they are higher than were a FTP lense would be... follow?... thats what I'm guessing anyway....

thoughts??? MY friend has a 300zx so I thought I'd save some of you that are on the fence with this conversion some time by doing the measuring for ya...

hope this helps....
