3000 RPM Power Hickup of line

My 88 AE is running really strong after a rebuild. It has about 1000 miles on the rebuild and has been pretty strong. Now I have a slight issue where when I accelerate really hard off the line it and hits around 3000 rpms it looses all power for a split second and then the power kicks in and from that point on it is fine. It happens at random times but always off the line. I could start 10 times and it will be fine and then randomly it will happen again and then be fine for a while again.

It has a new fuel pump and filter but it feels like the fuel just dies to it and then flows normally after that.

Any ideas on what I can check? It starts up every time and idles great.

Thanks!

Do a seach for 3800 rpm hesitation.

Basically, you need to reground your ecu (under the intake manifold on the drivers rear of the engine).

If it happens before 3800, that's not secondary injector issue.
Check your TPS for any flat spots.

That is probably the problem. I found this write up:

BUT DAM!!! I have to remove the top half of my engine to fix one stinking ground!!!!! That really sucks!
