3 Video's of my rx7 in its tuning process
Nothing spectacular. Today was the first day of actualy tunning the car under its own power. I only left the dragway once and went less than 1/2 mile away before relizing my laptop batt died, and promptly went back. Never left after that however did manage some 2nd gear 5krpm (up to 10kpa) pulls in the parking lot. Should start tunning under boost this week after work
If you have no idea what car im talking about, its a s4 gxl (i think) with 13b-re, to4s, wolf3d v4 etc etc
First vid is of the car just idleing while my friend adjusting a few of the load bands in prep to go above 30kpa up to 4k rpm, i got out to check for leaks n such (hooray none!) Found out its real hard to drive the car while its un-tuned, watch the wideband, and the wolf display (car was running between 89 and 96*C) and tune, so eric actualy did the tunning today
Second and third are of some pulls to 0-10ish kpa peaking just shy of 6k rpm, half throttle (still scard of breakign things) in 2nd gear.
and before i forget, here are the video's. BTW you need a divx codec to play em, if your not sure what im talking about, or know you need it, get it here http://download.divx.com/divx/DivX521XP2K.exe
and finnaly. the video's
http://www.volumetric-efficiency.com...ds/Idleing.avi
http://www.volumetric-efficiency.com.../FirstPass.avi
http://www.volumetric-efficiency.com...SecondPass.avi
On a side note, while the engine was idling, i was pulling 57kpa, is that good (seemed good to me) and under deceleration a few times i saw 78kpa?

Yes exhaust leak. and the smoke is oil in my exhaust.
When i first started it up and it finnaly came to life i was running it without an oil restrictor. I figured idle wouldnt make enough oil pressure to effect things.. i was wrong, lost 2qt of oil to my exhaust. So its going to smoke for a while. I have a restrictor in and now it doesnt loose any oil
It doesnt idle rought at all imho, it it ossolates less than 100rpm. Howerver, ill try to smooth it out after work
