If Civics talk to you, spend the money on therapy instead...

OK, well, the house things is a good idea. But maybe you already own one.

That said, on the car issue. If you want a turbo, DON"T do a swap in your NA. Sell the NA and buy a turbo car. Then upgrade the 13BT that comes with the car. Or buy a turbo car for ~$1000 with a blow motor, then put in a new ported motor, turbo, haltech, fuel, clutch, flywheel, exhaust, intercooler, boost controller, gauges...etc, etc.

That stuff adds up REALLY, REALLY fast. The NA driveline won't survive turbo power for long.

And the 3 rotor? If you have to ask, it's too expensive... $8k will barely get you in the door, and I could classify that as EXTREME mods. not for a beginner.

I agree here. Just set it up to be a good running 7. Keep it all motor and just have a new engine built and ported. You would be suprised how fast an NA FC can be. Plus you will have a lot less headaches then trying to complete a full swap for $8K. You can forget about a 20B if that is your budget. That's for sure. I'm not trying to flame, just to be helpful.

if you wanted to drop a 20b in a 2nd gen rx7( which is current project in my neighboorhood) then u would need the engine itself.. which is 3000 the cheapest.. fmic.. maybe another 800 900 wit pipes.. Some kinda Stand alone computer( microtech ltx-12 or haltech e11) thats around 1200 1400.. after that the motor mounts.. if you have an n/a finding a good turboII drivetrain. that can handle all that Hp and Torque. a good clutch. finding a good fuel system.. finding somebody to install it and work on it for.. since that engine never came to the states.. its money bro..... i would go 13bturbo with that money... the reason we're doin it on my block is because the guy does all the work himself but if u were to go to a shop to do it.. theyd rape u literally.. just imagine alamo rotary charges $35,000 for the full instalation on a fd.. thats money...

Do what you want to your car man dont listen to anyone but yourself. If you wanna drop a 20b in there are a couple threads in here about how to do it . Or you can message some people like derek who have done a tri rotor drop in at other locations. GL to you

If it was me, i'd find a Tii like everyone else says, and then get a wild street port (bridge port or something like it) aftermarket ECU, larger turbo, blah blah blah...just a few upgrades like this and your 8K will be gone in a hurry.

Uh, what was wrong with my reply?
My point was that it's a waste of time trying to swap in a 20B into an NA - at least swap out all the drivetrain parts to turbo stuff, but I guess you didn't get it.

I bet the original poster does not have the $10,000 minimum to try such a conversion?  At the very least this should've been moved to the 20B section...

If you really must know, your reply was completely useless, off topic, and stunk of "smartass". It was not moved to the 20B section because once and a while I like to leave 20B FC topics actually in the FC section.

Moderation concerns should be posted to the Suggestions forum.

I agree Gibenstein that he should do what he wants. But I think he should listen to people who have been there before and know what they're talking about. Because simply he doesn't want his car in the driveway for a few months while he earns the money for a 20B swap. Which by the way is a huge pain in the @#$ and continues to be a huge pain in the @#$ for about a year afterwards. That is unless you drop another 5-10k to basically revive every part on your car. 20B plus Boost = wear and tear on everything. My biggest suggestion for a 20B would be a new clutch and tranny. Because without the new clutch (a good stiff, blow your knee off one, similar to a Porsche. One where a shift from 1-2-3 without any bumping makes you wanna run home and tell your mommy.) That should keep you in pretty good shape according to what Tito from AR says.

Funny, I (plus others) get flamed in a recent other thread, and NOTHING was done about that?

Hell, it's still there...not closed...not edited, yet you find this thread more of a priority over that one?

I guess getting flamed and people saying "**** YOU" not "completely useles, off topic, and stunk of 'smartass"...

I can't read every thread posted. If you see a thread in which something isn't right, feel free to use the "Report To Moderator" button. You used to be a mod, you should know this.

As mentioned, moderation concerns are to be posted in the Suggestions forum.
