2nd gen wheel sizes

ok my tires suck and i figure I can pick up a set of used 17" rims with good rubber for only a bit more then new tires for my rims. so... what other cars share the same bolt pattern? I know 300z, supra tt, newer prelude, ford probe. 3rd gen rx7. missing anything?

the bolt pattern is 5x 114.3 right?

what offset do I need so I don't have to run spacers in the front (they are evil!!) does the rim width effect what offset I need so they don't hit the front springs? or does a wider rim with the same offset only stick more out the side then inwards.

thanks.

I think the stock offset is either +38 or 40
But that is all I know.

Stock offset is +40mm. Have a look at:

http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobi...eel_offset.htm

for a diagram of the various measurements. Rears should not
be a problem (lots of room) but the fronts are tight, I would
suggest that you measure your clearance as you have it now,
then you can work out how wide and what offsets you can use.
3gens require spacers (about 20mm if I remember correctly)

PS. If you want to get rid of the stockers, let me know.

ok, that answers the rim width question. so if I want the same clearance to the springs. and get a 1" wider rim. I'd need to increse the stock offset by 1/2"

what I need to do is keep the backspace the same. anyone know the stock backspacing?

do you know the stock offset of 3rd gen rims?

hmm, it apears they have 22mm offset. which means that they would be moved towards the spring by over an inch... and I have 3mm of space on the front rim right now...

did you have spacers on them?
