My friend Chris went down there and said that he didn't see a single FC. That's pathetic. He also noted that Honda's made up 90% of the cars there; that's also pathetic but I'm not surprised.

Anyone buy the second gen timing chain from NOPI? I think I need to change mine, but I found a better price at JC Whitney.

Chris

There were 6 FC's that I saw:

one red one with the FX designs front, a supra wing, sideskirts, and chrome wheels, he lives near me but I dont know him well.

2 NA's that some guys from georgia had and didnt care much about(beat up)

a 88 convertible from a guy in atlanta

a nice stock white s5 convertible, girl owned(at least she stood behind it but I didnt talk to her)

a black s5 NA, there every year, with a lot of red trim and ref efini emblems. pretty nice, but the insides are a bit overdone(red int. trim), red racing seats.

I was there but not showing. There were also a couple other FC's int eh lot that I saw... a black s4 t2 from florida, and a silver s4 NA.

My favorite was watching a local guy with an FD dyno 330 to the wheels...sweeeet. I got it on video but I dont have a capture setup that'll work. I have a video capture card, but it is really old and wants to save as mp2 format...uggh.

I didn't realize that was last weekend until I got caught up in a bunch of riced out traffic on my way home yesterday on 85/40 through Greensboro. I did see a nice looking Celica (except for a big wing on the back.) Everything else that came through was a Honda though.

I almost consider it an honor not having that many second gens at the NOPI show. I would probably go to the show if I was local, but I have no desire to enter my car in one of those "car shows".

I picked up my TII and drove it back to minneapolis on Sunday.. only passed a i think 6 cars that were basically riced except an Integra with JDM conversion.

I was hoping to see more rice to stay entertained for the 16.5 hour drive home

I got pics of a REALLY crappy blue 1st gen that was next to the backstretch under the garage, it had a list of "performance" mods on the back, which included custom tailights and graphics... they took a picture of me in my car driving down the street.

it made me sad to see that piece of crap
