2nd gen GXL
i am thinking about purchasing a 2nd gen GXL and i had some questions.
first and foremost, would i be able to turbo it without swapping the engine? and how much would that cost on both scenario's.
how much would a street port job run me to do it right?
and how much hp can i be looking forward to getting?
thanks

you can always get as much HP out of an engine as you want. you will run out of money before horsepower.
it is cheaper and smarter, since you are thinking about streetporting, get a 13b-t get it rebuilt and street ported, run the stock turbo and intercooler, port the wastegate, get a stand alone after a little while, fd fuel pump, i dont know about texas emissions but get rid of all emissions, downpipe, no cat, "cat" back.
theres ~230hp for about $8k.
you can turbo a 13b 6 port. here is a link to the guy who did it.

once a week? more like once a day.
IMHO, the tuning will be even more critical since you're using 9.7 CR S5 NA Rotors rather than the 9.4 CR S4 NA rotors that Aaron Cake was using. Don't bother with a SAFC, do it right and go standalone, which is another $1.5K+
