2nd gen fuel calculator question

http://rx7.com/cgi-local/2ndgencalc.cgi

I was looking to have a fuel setup capable of supporting 600 horse, so i decided 850 pri 1600 secondary, according to the calculator this would be bust about spot on at 80% duty cycle, but then I realized the calculator doesn't have meth injection inputs.

Example, if you were running a 50/50 mix my understanding on how they tune a car for meth is to pull back on injector to keep from richening the mixture while the meth is being supplied.

In effect since the calculator cant compensate for adding methanol.. if running auxiliary methanol injection at XX% methanol wouldn't the max potential horsepower be shown at less than what it really should be? wouldn't you actually be able to run smaller injectors for the power you want?

If my understanding is correct and since the calculator isn't that advanced how do I know how much smaller of an injector I can run? or perhaps the max horsepower wont change at all and the meth simply compensates and no more for the fuel? lol I just need some clarity

Perhaps this should be moved to the auxiliary injection section.

?? Are you planning to run methanol injection in small quantity to keep things cool and prevent pinging, or are you planning to dump in lots of it instead of gas?

I'm up in the air on what would be better to do. use the meth as simply an aid or a power adder as well.

if I'm using it as an aid I'd still be cutting back on the fuel injector to maintain steady afr's wouldn't I? if so I may be able to get away with smaller total cc?

then again, the price of different sized injectors isn't so large I may be okay with too much injector for what i need.. unless there's a problem with that.

The RC Engineering calculator allows you to alter the BSFC as required for your particular tuning.

If you are considering smaller injectors, I assume that you are not using the fuel injectors for the methanol injection?

OK, then when calculating the gasoline fuel injector requirements you can separate the methanol-produced hp from your 600hp goal. Boy, you have a lot of math on your hands, lol.
