I'm interested in an N/A hood in CF.

Please email me with more details and if there is a quality guarantee as this can vary big time with who is making them.

Also final weight of the hood is very important as I have an aluminum hood already and want to shave more weight off if possible.

lol, here we go again...

If it goes through, put me down for a TII hood (or modified).

I'm in for a CF TII hood...500 is a decent price, all the cheapy ones for 300 and such are made like **** and fit worse and are heavy since they only use a thin layer or two of carbon on top of a heavy fiberglass mold. weight and fit is important. If you post pics of your final on the car with a weight I'm sure you'll have a LOT of buyers.

A full Fiberglass hood weighs 12 pounds. I've heard a CF hood weighs around 8. So, even if it were a 5-layer hood, 2 were CF, and 3 were FG, it would still only weigh a little over 10 pounds. Even if you have the lightest Aluminum hood made for our cars, that's still a 50+% weight savings.

If the cost of 2½ times as much CF, for 2 pounds worth of weight savings is worth it to you, then you have more money than sense, or you should've had a one-off CF hood made by now.

I don't mean this to be too harsh, but CF doesn't weigh THAT MUCH LESS than FG. The only reason, I would think, most people prefer CF is because of the looks; seeing as it can't be price, the $:# ratio is sooo much better for FG than CF. And the $ difference could be better spent on go-fast mods.
