i read on this website that the 92 turbo made 255hp.

is this true or is this page just messed??

Yup, it's right. Well, everything BUT the '92. The '92 has the same as the '91.

I thought they didn't really make any RX-7's in 1992.

Looks to me like the 3rd gen stats. 255 hp, 217 lb/ft tourque- 3rd gen right on.
Probably just some mistake in the list.
Or maybe they introduced the 3rg gen in Japan in 92?

 

Yeah, i'm pretty sure that would be the 3rd gen. I first saw the 3rd gen in a showroom in 92 down here in Aus.

 

Supposedly the only 1992 models sold in the U.S. are convertibles.&nbsp VIN shows all FC's are 1991 models at the latest.

The FD was release in Japan in 1992, and some consider the FD as a 1992 model start.&nbsp 255hp is spot on for an FD, so it has nothing to do with FC's.
