Unhappy 250 rpm drop with emmisions removed. help

The car is a s4 t2 with 40k original miles. I've been removing emmissions the past few weeks and believe I'm close to being finished. First I removed the air pump. Then split air pipe. idle was fine. Then I removed and blocked off the acv and idle was fine except I have to hold the gas for about 10 secs on a cold start for it to hold idle. Then it would rest at 700-750. This weekend I removed the egr and blocked it off and all of a sudden the car is now idling around 500rpm.

Do I have to dissconnect the solenoid for the egr? There are no vac leaks around the block off plates after spraying them down with carb cleaner. I cant seem to locate any leaks.

Once removing all these part do I have to re-adjust the tps? I wouldnt think so.

So far I messed with the bac adjustment screw and idle adjustment screw on the passenger side shock tower. But no avail.

The car idles solid at 500 but I'd like to get it back to 750.

Any input would be appreciated. I'm using machined block off plates from ebay.

You don't have to remove the EGR solenoid, but you have to be sure you cap the vac connection that runs to the valve itself. As a temporary fix, you can tighten the throttle cable a little bit to get the idle speed up.

All lines are capped(3 acv, 1 egr). Problem with the throttle cable is the nut is as far down as it will go. I cant tighten it anymore. The throttle cable is 1 month old purchased from atkins

there is an idle adjust screw on the throttle body. tightening the throttle cable to raise the idle is a no no.

I tightened the tiny flathead screw with 8mm nut on the back of the throttle body(facing firewall). After about 10 times or trial and error(have a tmic still), I got it to 750.

Is it safe to run the car like this. It drives fine.
