Racing Beat claims their 51mm Weber carb kit can do 280+ hp on a rotary... but I cannot imagine that the low-end drivability is very good. They also have a progressive Holley 4bbl kit that looks like it would function better over a wider range of driving conditions, but they do not list the horsepower obtained...

Just to clear up a common misconception, the horsepower ratings are the amount of fuel and air that the carb kits can supply, not the amount of power that you will get by bolting them on a stock engine. The engine still requires a lot of modifications to reach those goals.

This is the Racing Beat application guide for their carb kits:

Fuel injection is always superior, of course.

That is gonna be a peripheral-port. You can't drive that on the street unless you never see a cop ever.

Agreed. Their website seems to imply that those numbers are what you could expect on a highly modified engine at 10,000 rpm or more.

but back to the topic what are you going to use the car for track? drag? drift? or daily cruiser? to tell you the truth your better of getting a turbo 2 engine for your FC and make easy power then trying to squeez power out of n/a while trying to avoid cops

I have driven that car, low end torque is fine, as you can see in the dyno graphs. Actually, its very fun to drive around town. And its completely streetable.

Yeah. It sucks to blow the welds on the intake then you gotta go replace those piston rings.
