Angry 2400-3400 hesitation

I need help. I've got a hesitation from 2400 to 3400 during normal driving. would a fuel pulsation damper cause this? It doesn't do it through out the full 1000 rpm's but when I start to tip the throttle or barely lift, my car jerks like I tried to floor it then lifted off. It runs fine under WOT. I've tried adjusting the fuel mixture and it only gets better if I mess with the TPS as well. What else could it be? My fuel pulsation damper is bad so the new one will be here on monday. please help!!!!

The TPS should be set before messing with the R/L pot. Sounds like a maladjusted TPS to me. Be sure the engine is fully warm before adj'g.

Best of luck

I do adjust the TPS first, then the R/L pot. the problem is then fixed for a couple hours and then it starts doing the same thing. could it be something else?

That's odd since it's below the point the secondaries come on. It wouldn't hurt to check your grounds.

found the problem. (not sure what it's called) the piece connected to the top of the FI on the drivers side. (has coolant lines running to it and a plunger inside) well it had a loose nut on it. (this is for a 87 s4 intake.) I replaced the entire manifold anyways and installed the pineapple six port sleeves. now I have a clutch problem/tranny problem. I've never gone through a burnt clutch before. so...
when in fifth gear at about 2500 rpm, if I give it gas it will rev up to about 4000 rpm then slowly catch and continue accelerating, unless I modulate the throttle. but no other gears are slipping, as obviously as that. I have noticed (today) that if I gas in it in anyother gear the revs barely spike about 200 rpm. but the car still accelerates. also it was wet today, but it was dry yesterday (when this happened) What could this be???
