It takes a long time, its expensive, and it will really hurt your emissions. But you'll make a hella lotta power!

1. Search

2. Look at the 20B Forum

3. It'll cost you $20,000.

Not as much fab work as you think...Engine mounts and intercooler piping is what it boils down to. Mounts are available from K2RD and/or FC3s.ORG...

What is the part that costs $20,000 about a 20b conversion? What's so expensive to do? Can you perhaps give a price break-down (roughly?) I'm not trying to sound like a smart-*** or something, I'm just curious what's the expensive part, I know it's not cheap to do, but I didn't know it was that crazy.

thats what i want to know. i've seen 20b's for 5 grand with the turbos.. what else could possibly add up to 15 grand ontop of the engine cost? intercooler piping? motor mounts? that would be some very expensive pipe and motor mounts...

ALL of this has been covered MANY times before. There have even been detailed price breakdowns showing cost ranges from $10K to infinity. Please use the search feature.

$10-15 if you buy parts like a second gen owner does. $20-35 if you buy parts like a 3rd gen owner does.

A 20b could probably be dropped in for as cheap as 7 grand... but thats doing EVERYTHING yourself and making a lot of your own parts. It would be ghetto none the less.

Common sense dictates that you would have the 20B core rebuilt, either by a professional or by yourself. This act of rebuilding adds quite a bit to the cost of the conversion.

Plus, you have to upgrade the radiator, clutch, aftermarket turbo or try to get the stock twin-turbo system to work, etc.

It really does add up.
