Angry 2000 Miles Hot Starts Getting worse

I used to never had a problem with hot starts for the first 1000 miles. But these last 1000 have been terrible. Last night I had to have it towed because it flooded so bad after a hot start. WTF isn't is supposed to get better with mileage not worse? I just changed the plugs yesterday before it did the major flooding. My 2k tune-up and cost of towing happened to be the same week when I pay my bills so now I can't even afford to buy a Comp tester. Anyone have any thoughts?

Now the car is smoking a lot on start-up and when I rev it up over 1500, it doesn't smell like pre-mix either, I think it is oil. Could my turbo be shot and leaking oil?

It could be your turbo, but it's probably not. If you're smoking a lot then oil is getting into the engine and that's bad. Might be time for a rebuild, or if this is a rebuild then you need to talk to who built it.

I would talk to Kevin before posting stuff like this. He seems to be a nice guy, but if you bring your problems to the forum first, he can be kinda cranky. Just my .02, CJ

No no no, I do NOT DOUBT KEVINS WORK AT ALL. In fact I have an update, car is running better. It believe the smoking is from a recent flood, because last night I drove the car and it only smoked on start up b/c of premix obviously, and the smoke was minimal. My turbo has probably around 80k on it so if it is failing it wouldn't be a suprise. I have a bad vac leak somewhere, I haven't found it yet. If you read this Kevin, I am not putting your work down at all, I still praise it. My check engine light used to come on when boosting, now it doesn't, yet now I have a 4100 hesitation when boosting in 5th gear, I believe my boost sensor is failing...........

Mine flooded big time a few years back. It might be a good idea to change your oil. If your engine really loaded up, gas is sure to get into your crankcase.

Will that make hot-starts worse, gas in the crankcase, because I don't even like getting gas because yesterday it almost didn't start, it took 6 tries and the battery was down to 10 volts...

Just to be an inquisitive type, did you have your injectors cleaned/replaced when rebuild time came around?

Yes at Cruzin Performance. I have a big vac leak somewhere in my system, damn thing will not idle and I keep finding vac leaks here and there and fixing them and still its barely idles, maybe around 500-600. I plan to remove ACV, BAC and remove my spider rac and just go crazy with fixing them whenever I get paid next friday.

This was HANDS DOWN the BEST mod I have done to my car. I just finished with it yesterday. Before that, the lowest I could get the idle was about 950-1000, the cruise control would slowly lose speed/take a while to set, and the brakes were soft (I didn't realize that then).

Today I was driving it, and it feels like a new car. The brakes feel like I just upgraded them, the idle is at a perfect 750 (still needs adjusted a little bit more), and the cruise control works wonderfully. And my engine bay looks cleaner and is easier to work on to boot. I love it!

oh, BTW: Kevin Lander's writeup on emmissions removal is awesome. Worked well even for a S4 N/A.
