2 years later, the T2 comes to life

Well, after more than 2 years of work, my rx7 finally roared back to life. And i do mean roar. I started it up with just the downpipe. Nothing beats the sound of the opened up exhaust rotary, especially hearing my own. Mike and I really rigged things to get it running. It has 1600cc secondary injectors, but not plugged in. (the ecu wont run the bosch injectors) and it has no electronic metering pump. I also couldnt find the air flow meter, so i used my old 93 Probe GT airflow meter instead, hoping it would function well enough to work. Well, the first cranking we kinda flooded it a bit by fooling with the MAF, cleared it out by cranking it over a second time. But the third crank, vooom, fired up immidiately. The AWS kicked in, reved up to about 2,800 held it for awhile, then ran about 2,000 while the motor heated up. Motor ran smooth, had perfect throttle response with the Probe air flow meter. No hesitations. I let it run for a bit, then revved it up and killed it before the neighbors started to complain. I need to un-rig it before i can drive it around alot, but the biggest hurdle is over. And i am a very proud turboII owner. =]
