2 things I need help with

I have a 2 more noobie questions:

1. My front turn signal (under the ftp lens) needs to be changed, I unscrewed the signal and pulled of the lens but I am having trouble pulling the bulb out, is there an easy way to do this?

2. When I tunr on my headlights I noticed thtat the altenator starts to "squeal", is there something wrong with it?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Push and turn, and it should pop out.

Loose alternator belt?&nbsp When you add electrical load, the mechanical load on the alternator goes up - a loose belt would cause it to squeal under load.&nbsp Also check the belt condition - it should not have any cracks or glazed heavily; you might have to replace the belt if it is old.

I would suggest just replacing the alternator belt now so it doesn't go at a bad time. Mine broke on the way home and since it drives the water pump the car started overheating and I had to stop. It is very scary especially since overheating the rotary is a sin.

Anyway just work the belt around the fan blades and then remove the two belts in the way to get the new belt back to the alternator. Its a pain in the a$$ job but why not just do it now and not worry about it.
