2 problems; turn signals and security system

Alright, now I've tried searching and I haven't found a solution for these two problems yet.

First one is that on my project car, the turn signals won't turn off. I've replaced the switch 2x already, and still no luck. What else could be making them so they won't cancel after completing the turn?

Also, the security system light in the center by the compartment, the light won't turn off when the car is parked, turn the ignition on and it goes away, otherwise it is always glaring orange at anyone.

Who knows what's going on or how to fix these issues?

There is a turn cancel sensor behind the steering wheel which might not be working properly. Look in the FAQ section for the link to the FSM and then choose "Body Electrical" section from the list of choices and it will provide you with information to check this aspect of the turn signals.

For the turnsignal problem:
-Turn ign. key to ON, do not start car.
-Activate turnsignal ( matters not which direction).
-Slowly turn wheel in the direction you're signaling

Do you hear a "click" as the wheel turns?

If not, your link ( a plastic collar with nubs on each end) between the wheel and the sensor isn't engaged and the sensor doesn't know that the turn has begun or ended.
Pull steering wheel and inspect.

or just hot wire a switch lol...but. the security light sounds like one of the spots where it would normaly turn on. like the rear hatch maybe the sensor is stuck out or has been removed completely.
