hello all, 2 ? I am about to have my 1990 vert painted. I am asking if I need the door jamb tags (mfd. by mazda and gvw / vin tags in door jambs ) I ask this because this paint will be a color change and I dont want it to look like **** around the tags /stickers .+ did the 90 verts come with pinstriping I have seen it both ways ? I do not like the strips but if I must to keep the the car the way it came from the factory so be it...

the VIN sticker is not available new. the tire one might be.

as delivered to the dealerships these cars had no pinstriping, but its really common because it increased the value of the car in the 80's.

so factory correct would have no pinstriping, but it was really commonly done

i would leave the VIN sticker on unless you want the car to look like its been stolen...

not sure anyone cares about the tire sticker

 

i will also be painting my car within the next 2 months or so. im not going to paint over it. like j9fd3s said you dont want your car to look like it was stolen. lol

 

when I painted my door jambs what I did was mask them off, spray color around them, then unmask them and clearcoat over them.

 

that's what i intend to do/ since we're talking about paint/painting. for those of you who have painted their car themselves, how many qts/gallons of paint did you use?
