2 main problems- need some advice~

Ok, I cant find my other thread, which only 1/2 worked anyways- Soo lets try this again.

After finishing all my trany work, my idle has droped from a strong 800 down to 0-300rpm.
Its dying at stop signs, or any time I put the clutch in and let the rpm's drop.
I have checked all the vacume lines. What am I forgetting???

The second thing:
After cleaning my engine bay, my alt is only supplying 13v running!!! (Car runs fine other then idle)-
I had the alt covered up, but did mist the pully with simple green. Can I remove it and try cleaning it out, or what???

I have to get this figured out!

After working on this with my father of all people, we have determined its not a low idle, but that its running rough at idle.
Warming up- it will dip down to neary dying, and then right back up to 900.

After a 20min drive, it will not go back up, and just sit there strugling at 100-300rpm and eventualy die.

Bad sensor? Fuel injector? Running to rich/lean?
Im lost.

I did fix the alternator, disassembled it and cleaned it pretty well.

AHA!

The intake tubing going into the throttle body was being pinched and letting un metered air in! Now it dosent die!!!
Still idles at 400-500.
Im not complaining however .

since you fixed the problem with it dying (I actually had the same problem with a 92 DSM), have you tried adjusting the Idle Set Screw?

You mean the adjustment screw that adjusts how the sensor reads the throttle??
Because theres no Idle set screw for these cars. Its 3 sensors-

And I recognize your name from somewhere.....

No, I'm pretty sure he means the screw on top of the intake TB to adjust idle speed. And yes THERE IS a idle screw on these cars. You might have a black cap covering it.

Trainwreck is correct, it's at the top of the throttle body, most likely under a black rubber cap.. it's on page 4A-78 of the factory service manual (availible at www.iluvmyrx7.com ).. get the "04a_FUEL_AND_EMISSIONS_CONTROL_SYSTEMS_NA.pdf "or grab the turbo one, and turn to the page, it tells you how to adjust your idle RPM.
