2 MAF Questions
1. If mine doesn't work, will the car run
2. If it won't, is there any way to lie to it to make it think it's working?
it's an 88 10th anniversary TII

Keep Right Except to Pass
1. If so, very poorly.
2. Hmm, I'm sure you could if you were good enough with electronics. There's a fuel pump cut sw. in there and a temp sensor as well as the flap business.

you have to give the ECU something to measure the incoming air with. If your MAF breaks, just get one from a junkyard of or get a stand-alone. Most of the time if your MAF breaks, the car will run for a second, then stall everytime you start it.

I left my MAF unplugged once after taking the thing off and when I started the car it did run and just the same as before at an idle that is, but when I hit the gas it would just die. if you could fool the computer I don't know.
