Can someone explain why 2 Ports?

Makes it possible to use the caliper on either side of the car...a bleed screw will always be "up" no matter what.

I seem to recall the lower bleed screw is for initial bleeding of a new caliper. The upper is bled for routine maintenance bleeding. I never used the lower one.

I've heard/read that before and think it begs the question- why don't the front calipers have two bleed screws?
