2 BAR MAP sensor wiring w/ SAFC neo
2 BAR MAP sensor wiring w/ SAFC neo
I am almost finished wiring my safc, and I just got my GM 2 bar map sensor and I'm a little confused by the 3 plug output.
A = sensor ground
B = sensor signal
C = + 5V
The ground is obvious. So then would I wire the sensor signal (B) to the grey wire on my safc? If so, where do I find a 5v source, and it should probably be switched right (don't want to drain my battery)?
Thanks

He is using an aftermarket sensor separate from the factory ECU. That's pointless IMO because you get less resolution, and it's not like you are going to run over 1 bar of boost (2 bar absolute) on the stock ECU. And do you mean the GM 3 bar? The factory sensor is 2 bar. And yes you would put the throttle input wire on the AFC (whatever color that is) to the sensor signal wire. The 0-5v signal can come from the stock map sensor harness or any of the other 0-5v sensors.
I guess I should have been more clear, this is an n/a (beign turbo'd) and therefore my stock map sensor is only 1 bar. The MAP sensor signal replaces the TPS signal since the stock TPS only reads to 1/4 throttle.
I have a GM 2 BAR MAP sensor.
Basically what I'm wondering is where is a good +5v source to tap for the external MAP sensor.
Also is the Ignition wire on the harness (see attached pic) plug 12v positive or 5v?
Thanks
