2.5" Single Exhaust. Almost done.
I am almost finished with the 2.5" single exhaust for my NA. I am attaching links to some pictures. I have not reduced their size so they are rather large.
I am using my Racing Beat header that was already on the car. A Dynomax bullet muffler is next as a pre silencer. Then a Magnaflow muffler for the rear. Bought Pre bent mandrels and tubing from Summit racing as well as the mufflers. I used a pipe expander so that all of the tubing would overlap instead of being butted together. It also makes it much easier to fab if you do not have a welder.
I plan to take Decibel readings both on open headers and with the exhaust in place to see if there is a difference. At some point I will take it back to the Dyno and see if there was a power gain. The old exhaust used the factore Cat housing with a pipe welded in the middle. Unfortunately it was a 2" pipe and was not big enough. When I pulled it out the welds on the header side were completely broken.
So far I have less than $200 invested in this exhaust.
Here are the pics.

I am interested to see how loud it is going to be. This car is no longer a daily driver and is planned to be used as a track bitch so loudness is not too much of a concern.

It's funny how you didn't think this was worth mentioning in your first post. If people actually put all the relevant info in their posts this board wouldn't be so cluttered with junk posts. Just an observation...
