has anyone done this? How much wieght was lost? Acceleration improved at all?

Also, do you have to get under the car? And what did you use to fill the space there if you don't have the storage bins?

 

The back seat is pretty light. The seat is only the bottom and back cushion and can be carried in one arm. If you're stripping as many parts as you can to lose weight, then the seat should be removed with the other stuff. But removing the seat by itself isn't much.

To remove the bottom part, you have to push the front in then pull it up. The bolts for the back part are easy to find once you have the bottom cushion off. You don't have to get under the car.
