1st gen apex seals in T2

I heard a while back that first gen gsl-se apex seals would perform well on Turbo 2s.. I was wondering if anyone here knows about this or done this mod.
It's time for me to a rebuild and i was wondering about different options.
Thanks

They wont fit w/o machining your apex grooves. But even then, a good ping will kill a 3mm seal just as fast as a 2mm. IMO, 2mm is a better choice.

I suggest reading this thread.

About 3/4 way down the first page there is a debate about 3mm seals and a link to a really good thread.
