1st gear, idle problem
1st gear, idle problem
ok, so after pressure testing the motor and resealing, gasketing, siliconing, and o-ringing every where air can escape. im sure there are no vacuum leaks. i also adjusted the TPS, replaced the AFM, and MAP sensor. tried another ECU and none of this fixed it.
s5 TII. everything removed and blocked off exept OMP. motor is basically stock. never opened. has port and polished TB and lower manifold.
the problems:
1. bouncing idle from 1500-2000. but if i move the idle up to 2500+ it will hold it just fine. the engine will rev freely at above rpm's also.
2. Now if i put the car into gear, while still holding the clutch in. the rpms will drop to 1500, and hold there. but sounds as if its running on one rotor. i did not release the clutch. this is all sitting still. when i remove it out of the gear. it will go back to boucing from 1500-2000.
ideas?
