I experimented with Synchromesh.
It helped a little. Well, It doesn't grind anymore, but the 2nd gear shifting, which never grinded, but was just a bit not smooth, - - was a little cured..

Try using ATF in your tranny.......i had a bad grind both from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd, i'm talkin llike you couldn't even baby it into 3rd gear without it grinding; but i put ATF in my tranny for like 500 miles then drained it and filled it again just to get all the gear oil out. Butr after that it was golden.....i can slam it into 3rd when i really get on it and no grinding anymore.......i will warn you, the person that told me about using ATF in there said it should be changed every 1000 miles...BUT...i have gone up to 5000 miles on the same fluid, always comes out clean when i flush it with minimal to no shavings on my magnetic drainplug....good luck.

I am the stig.
In my experience, there's a few finesse points to shifting that help. (My 1st gear synchro is average, 2nd is bad, 3rd is dead.) (S4, NA, 5spd, stock flywheel.)
N > 1st: Push in the clutch, wait a coupe of beats, then put it into first. This lets the intermediate shaft spin down to 0.
1st > 2nd: First gear, go to 4k rpm, pull the gear lever straight back to second, constant motion, medium speed. If you get it right, it'll pop right into second.
2nd > 3rd: Second gear, 3.5k, neutral, let the revs drop for a beat (about 2.5k rpm), then put it into third. (If at the redline, wait 2 beats, ~ 4k rpm) Double clutching helps with the timing.
Any downshifting or entering a gear at speed requires a rev match in neutral. Rev the engine to where the RPM should be for that gear, then move the gear lever into gear.

Don't stress out bro, unfortunately this is normal in our car. The hard shift will disappear as soon as the fluid warms up. So, either wait a few minutes and let it warm up, shift from first to third if you can't wait, or replace the second gear synchronizer ring and 1-2 clutch sleeve with redesigned ones(yeah right!).

Hmm, weird. I actually grinded when my old fluid warmed up..
Im using SynchroMesh now, alot better.. I'm a little concerned though, seems thin.
I've read somewhere, the thicker the fluid, the harder it'll shift, but'll save the synchros and bad for tranny..some **** like that.. and the thinner is bad for Synchro but good for tranny.. I'm not sure about this. hehe..
