1991 TurboII Expected price?

Would annyone know what to expect to pay for a decent 1991 RX7 TurboII in the San Diego Area? KBB says like $3,500 but that sounds a bit off.

i say for a TII in decent shape, no mods and a nice rebuild about $4,000-$6,000

"in the San Diego Area" lol

well I wouldnt mind flying up near SF and driving it back home, thats if was really interested.

Im thinking a Series 4 N/A would be a bit more realistic now.

Who do you insist on a 1991 model?
Why not a 1989 or 1990?
They are all basically the same.
Is it just for bragging rights?

If you expand more than out of SD, you might actually find a decent one.
There's lots popping up in LA and SF / Bay Area...

BTW, I wouldn't pay more than $4,000 to $5,000 myself.

89 or 90 would be fine but ideally i would like a 91 being the last year of the fc. I wouldnt mind at all expanding my search to LA. Right now I have a 93 firebird v6 that im going to sell as soon as I find the fc I want. I guess I should post in the WTB here at rx7club. Is the autotrader as popular in la as it is in sd?

you have to look across the country to find a decent one for a good price, its the only way! hehe.. take my car for example... i flew to arkansas from LA and DROVE my 90 TII back home, it was a 3 day road trip, and i would do it again!

I must say you have inspired me And yea I guess I could sell my car although it would be hard getting around without a car, but I can see if I could borrow my parents car. How long did it take some of you guys to find the fc you wanted?

The first one I owned I drove onto the Mazda lot back in 87 and bought it after trying to find a sport for a couple weeks.

The second (my vert), I looked for about 6 months (before finding the 88 I wanted).

actually the car came to ME! I already had a 88' TII that I was happy with, and had plans for... however as soon as I found out I could get my hands on a S5 TII for CHEAP in good running cond. I sold it in a heartbeat, and started my new project!

i was ready to either take a bus or fly down to SC from CT for a AE88 but didnt end up doing it .. Im looking for a turbo s5 to. I have a 91 na right now. i activly looked for a fc in reasonable price range for a solid year. T2's and turbo fcs are very very rare in my area. I was ready to offer this guy who had one mint,. paint and interior was flawless. i was ready to go to the bank nd get a loan and try and bribe the guy to sell it me. But ill wait and see. if i blow my engine .. ill just swap it out for a jspec s5. and have some fun putting it in
