First off, I don't know much about the rx-7 engine and how it works. I'm more familiar with subaru's... but I want an rx-7 badly. I located an rx-7 that "doesn't start" because the engine isn't getting any spark or something... as the owner has put it...

"This is a 91 n/a S5 that I dropped a J-spec TII engine in .The engine isnt starting right now b/c its not getting spark, I really havent had time to trouble shoot b/c ive been getting my gear together."

I don't know what anyone with experience with these cars can make of this... but if it sounds like disaster please let me know asap. I'm trying to make my decision on whether or not to buy this car tonight. The engine visually looks to be in decent condition. Please let me know!

B: If it really is a TII J-Spec I'd bet he has the fuel rails backwards .

 

Here is a picture of the engine... J-spec? I don't know... I don't know how to tell.. Help...

 

Its not the OEM radiator
It dont have resistor pack hooked up
The boost sensor dont seem to be connected (The electric plug)
