1991 GXL Starting and wheel problems.

My friend's 1991 GXL, is having trouble starting. It's been sitting for a week. with a flat tire. (More on that in a bit.)

He said it's happened before. He reached into the left storage bin and undid a connector, I assume to the fuel pump.

When he cranked it, it sounded kinda funny. I dunno how to describe it. I've cranked piston engines with the spark plugs in them, but that have lost compression and they sounded similar. Sounded to crank a bit fast, and with no resistance. Like you'll hear a good engine, piston or rotary, slow down as the compression builds and speed up as the exhaust port/valve opens.

Thing is, he drove it a week ago, so I dunno. Maybe FC's sound different than my FB.

It's been sitting for a week with a flat tire because it has the damn anti theft lug on it. The little nut adaptor keeps slipping. It's all ground up inside. Where can one find a replacement?

Sounds like a flooded car to me.
Unflooding directions are here:

As for the wheel lug, if he doesn't have the original packet with the pattern ID for the lug and contact information for the manufacturer, you're going to have to get creative to take it off.

The key you can get a new one (for the lug). Or you can have someone tap the lug out and just use a normal lug. I have a bag that has the key that has the info on it for re-ordering one. You could always try calling a dealer with the VIN and see if they can order one.

Another thing you could do is buy it from him for cheap!

But seriously it seems like the person may have leaking injectors due to the pressurized rail (even when the key is out). One method is to depressurized the rail prior to killing the engine, by installing a kill switch to the fuel pump, hitting the switch and letting the engine starve and stop. No fuel means no flooding.
