1990 vert n/a, exhaust leak cause TPS to "malfunction"?
Going through what seems a million tests to get engine light to vanish, and code still reads 12, TPS. Got this s.o.b. to idle 750 ****, but found splits on seams of pre- cat, and cracks in main cat. How big effect on the TPS is this having? I don't want to keep trying to rid engine light, if this is a major TPS problem. Easier to replace, then move on. Advice would be appreciated!

From the best of my knowledge, the TPS is just a seperate system. It's a little button dependant upon the throttle position--it has no "ECU tie-in" to the quality of your cats etc.
Have you checked the resistance on your TPS? If you haven't, I can explain how.

Yeah, I checked the resistance, and my TPS has dual cams, not single like most. The low end is fine at 1.00, but the top end is above limits at 6.2 to 7.3 or 4. I just didn't want to replace. I just seem to remember reading that it did have some outcome , being it related to the BAC, then TPS, just can't remember where. I appreciate you taking the time to help.
