1990 turbo engine in a 1987 body

Hey. I was wondering if you can bolt a 1990 turbo engine in to a 1987 body. And what other parts might i need. The engine came with the harness and transmission. any thing will help thanks

do a search because there a few people who have done this, the counter weights are different, you'll need the 90 wiring harness, and 90 ecu, and i think you'll be set

Sure it can be done, but the wiring changes are basically a nightmare. Best to stick with your "series" of engine. Swapping S4/S5 and vice versa is a major hassle.

Now, you could put in the S5 block and run the S4 electronics, but that sort of defeats the purpose of the swap...

Basically stick with your series engine unless you've got a standalone. If you've got a standalone and you're sticking with the stock turbo I'd highly suggest swapping up to an S5 turbo and engine, this is my setup and I love it.
