1990 rx7 GX NA

Have any of you guys ever heard of a 1990 na GX modle? Just wondering cause i can't seem to find any info on it. The options seem strange to me compaired to other modles of the same year. It's got no rear wiper, no spoiler and has the round tail lights, interior is pritty basic with no power options just leather wraped sterring wheel and shifter ***. Any thoughts?

The GX was Canadian.

Taken from the FAQ:
GX = Luxury Coupe model (in CAN)

Si, my first 7 was a 1990 GX, but it took me 8 months to figure out it WASN'T a GTU....I was confused because it had all the GTU options, but a GX fender label

yeah, Mazda North America kept almost the same lettering for cars sold in Canada that they started back in the early 80's for the FCs.

GS, GX, GXL etc...

while in the states, they got pretty names like Sport or GTU or Luxury coupe.

I guess you could include GTUs in '90. I wouldn't... but you *could*.

It was an 89 model that was offered in 90. Like I said it really doesn't matter which way you do it (at least in my mind). It's just a personal preference. Same reason I say FC's were 86-91 even though some were sold in 92. Nothing to get your panties in a bunch over.

Technically there were probably some 88's sold in 89 but I would still call them 88's to not confuse people and make them think they are S5's. We all know that not everyone on this board are the sharpest tools in the shed...

Ahh. I see your reasoning actually.. Makes sense. Not because it wasn't a valid model, but because it was in 89. Makes sense to me! Also... My panties were never in a bunch. No worries.. My5ABaby is friend of Micah.

Guess that cleared it up. Just a personal preference. I mean... a dealer could still have a new 89 GTUs in a shed somewhere (just bear with me on this... ), but you wouldn't call it an '07 despite being bought in '07.

Yeah, kinda a random thought, but I'm bored and being imaginative.

If he would sell it to me, I would call it an 07... So bite me.
