1990 RX-7 GTU Not Running
Hey guys, I have a 1990 RX7 GTU that is having trouble.
We've changed the fuel pump and fuel filter, after deducing that it may have been those, I've heard that ether is bad for rotaries, AFTER spraying a lot of ether into it, although it doesn't seem to have been effected, as it will start and run, but only without the MAF sensor, and to do this, we have to completely starve it for air, then hold the MAF in just a little to keep it running, but we only tried that for a short period, as it was a horrible amount of gas and monoxide. We had found some faulty wiring for the spark plugs, and fixed it, same for the fuel pump, although the fuel pump had to be jumped to work. I have had a few people look at this car, 4 mechanics, and it seems like it most likely is the MAF sensor.
-We replaced the fuel pump/front fuel filter after thinking this was the problem.
-The car will start, as long as the MAF is not hooked up.
-Some faulty wiring was fixed, and some scotch tape was found and fixed... (Replacement for electrical tape... Not)
