1990 idleing problems

CT 1990 idleing problems

i have a 1990 gtu n/a and when i turn it on it starts right up but the rpms rise and fall from 1 to 2500 rpms like im reving it but i dont. someone told me it was the ecu?

What do you mean? It's supposed to rev up to around 3000 for a bit and then fall around 1500 until it's warmed...
Are the revs oscillating?

Sounds like a air leak somewhere.

Does it do this when the car is hot? or does it do it when the car is cold? or both cases?

yes it revs up and down and up and down. is that normal for the rx7's?

Yeha, I'd want to check to make sure all my grounds as well as my vacuum hoses... Possibly could be out of tune as well...
