1990 Gxl TII Swap Questions.

I'm planning on swapping a 13bt into my 90gxl. I have read the faq and I know I'm going to need a front mount/tiihood and a longer throttle cable. There is one thing I'm not sure about. I have read that some people stick with a na tranny and that works fine. My question is it worth swapping the half shafts and driveshaft to run a tII tranny. I would do that if I was planning on running lsd, but I'm trying to do this swap on the smallest budget possible. My main goal with the car right now is to run a mid to low 14 in the quarter mile..could I pull that off with a stock s5 tii engine with na drivetrain and front mount..or should I go ahead and run a tii drivetrain with lsd?

I know im a noob

TII tranny are built stronger for the extra power compare to the N/a tranny. I had to face this question myself, after years of working on this car, I realize that get whatever is the best and spend the money so nothing goes wrong later......learned that from the hard way

people say the na rear is only good for about 200. you should probasbly spend the money and go with the turbo trany, shaft, and split axles. cause you know once you hit low 14 your gonna one go low 13s and lower and lower, damn its a vicous cycle

throttle cable will run you about 30 bucks driveshaft somewhere around 50 tran 200 lsd and half shafts 300 if your lucky...those are some prices ive seen when looking around people might have found better prices people might think these are 2 low it really depends on if you get lucky and find parts for cheap.
