Hi,
I have a 1990 convertible (the dreaded auto version) and I was wondering if you knew if the rack and piston is a 2 port or 3 port?

If it's N/A you are looking at a 2 port, if it's a turbo it's a 3 port.... (I listed the turbo since i'm not sure if they sold the turbo vert in canada...) You can verify by looking at your PS pump. If you see 2 or 3 hoses, it corresponds to the number of ports.

Can a s4 2 port rack and piston fit and s5?

Rack and PINION.
and if you use the 3 line pump you need the three line Rack...same with the two.
they will fit,no problem,.but I am sure that one involves a Power steering computer..(S4?/ps ecu on the Driver's kick panel?).
To me,I wouldn't go through changing out Unless I was going manual rack.
