can you put a 1989 intake manifold on 1987 ? i was told it adds hp and i got one i want to use it

i think you have to do some port matching...its a bitch and not worth the effort for the maybe 3 hp you gain...MORE BOOST!

 

Use the advanced search. That is were most people fail at teh searching, and change it to search titles only.

 

There was an adapter made for fitting FD UIM it. I think FD UIM size fitting and S5 are the same. S5 will not bolt on to S4 directly.
S4 LIM is slightly differ fitting and sizing than the S5 LIM, so yea.

 

they all bolt up right i got a 1987 non turbo i want to use 1989 non turbo upper and lower intake manfod and dynamic chamber i got no emissions i dont know what vacuum hoses to use

just upgrade the VDI when doing it and port matching, so far that is what i am hearing.

You dont need an adapter for the FD UIM

 

well you can port it to match it, but there was an adapter for it from S4 to FD. Im almost positive FD can fit S5 without doin much to it.

 

The s4 T2 lower portmatched to an FD upper yeilds the best results
