1988 tranny question!

I have a 1988 10th anniv. rx7 with stock M5 in it. I was wondering how strong the trannys are. I will be pushing around 600 RWHP this spring. Will the tranny hold that out?

basically like a regular Rear wheel drive..suggestion..when you take the Trans Off,just undo the Bolts from the slave and put it aside, that way you don't have to Bleed a Clutch.Just watch that the Pedal doesn't get pushed until the Trans is back in,and the slave is back on..Another thing is if you are going IN just to Replace a Throw-out bearing you may want to consider a Clutch "check" or replacement, and also Put another Pilot bearing in while you have it apart..I took my transmission out and changed everything while I was there.I have three Bad veretebrae. If I can do it,you can.Piece of Friggin cake!

I have performance throw out bearing on order from japan as we speak but i does have a lightened flywheel and aftermarket clutch. With these parts replaced how much power can i expect the tranny to withhold and for how long? I know mazda trannys are generally tuff as are most Japanese trannys. Thanks for the feedback!
