1988 TII won't start PLEASE HELP!

Alright I bought the car for $800. It had been sitting for 2 years but everything looks good, I have yet to find any rust. Now I replaced the spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, and battery but it still won't start up. I can turn the key over and all the idiot lights come on the I turn the key and it starts turning over sounding like its trying to start but it just doesnt fire up. What could be the problem here guys? Help a fellow 7 owner out guys. Also feel free to PM me for anything too.

Squirt some oil into the spark plug holes, put the spark plugs back in, then try.

Its probably flooding.....which may caused by having low compression, doing a comp. test while you have the plugs out might give you an idea of whether or not you can fire it up.

not sure.....I've got one from 60'slol

But you can get a regular one at NAPA or the like, they aren't that much money. BTW - it will be for a piston engine, but there is writeup's either in the archives or in the FAQ on how to use it to get the right readings on a rotary.

Ya I used the search button and found out how to use a piston tester for the rotary. Thanks guys now I'll find out if the apex seals are blown or not.

Alright I checked compression and its good but its still not starting. I know I'm getting fuel from the pump to the filter but I don't know if its getting to the injectors for if the injectors are even functioning. If I check the crank case sensor will it tell me if the injectors are functioning properly or should I go rent a code reader to see if the computer is throwing codes? Help me out here guys I'm trying to get this car running.

There's a test for the injectors in the FSM.

You can check the codes yourself. There's a write up somewhere on how to make an LED tester.
