Hey everybody, i've recently got the chance to aquire an 88 Rx7 from a friend for a REALLY good price...

the car needs a paintjob (dont care to much about looks for it personally) and the interior is alright.

Everything works except the AC.... car has 159k miles on it, but the engine was rebuilt 3k miles ago...

Only problem i have with the car is the tranny feels kinda harsh getting into 3rd gear... it's close to a grind, but a very small one, and only for a split second, as it goes right in. He also says many people have had this problem, and driven around on the tranny forever with no problem.... your input?

Another thing, he says when it's cold out, and when going really slow/at a stop, you turn the wheel, you can hear some sort of noise like "cak cak cak cak" he says it's normall, and most all second gens have the problem... (did this while i was test driving it)

Car is BONE stock.

I'm buying this car as a daily driver, seeing as how the Talon is in need of a rebuild/misc parts... my question is, would it be a decent daily driver? I understand there are better choices out there (fuel economy etc) but this is a car i'm sure i could have some fun with, and possibly sell for more than what i bought it for.

Good thing is, i've owned this car for a year and 2 months, and the only thing that has gone out on it was the Brake master cylinder, and now the booster is kind of acting up...

Not bad for a 16 year old car
