1988 New Tires, Radiator, Sometimes Starts,,, Worth 250.? Advice Please
Got a guy selling 1988 5 speed, ?, will see in couple hours, sun roof, hatchbatch, new tires, new radiator, smokes upon startup, then quits when warm, but sometimes doesn't start. So. Worth up to 500, just for the experience of working on the miracle rotary, right? Got 8 hours to decide. Whats your opinion? Thanks, the dog.

is it anything special? gtu or sport or base or what.... i dont know much about the n/a models. it just depends on what you want to do with it.
i got my tii for 700 with a new motor.. needed exhaust and a few other things....
check out the "what did you pay for your 7" thread... decide if YOU think its worth it. nothing else really matters.

If it /sometimes/ starts that means the engine isnt blown (for the most part)
If it dies when it gets warm it's prolly some sensors or in need of a tune up.
A lot of older rotarys like FC's and FB's smoke a bit on startup... ESPECIALLY after having several failed start attempts (when mine de-floods it coughs up a huge smoke cloud) As long as it doesnt smoke after it's warmed up you should be fine.
If it's cheap get it
